FILIPINO fighter Richie Mepranum has been booked to see action on the undercard of the “Firepower” card featuring superstars Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto on November 14 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
This was confirmed yesterday by Maasin Mayor Jojo Lopez, who manages Mepranum, in a long-distance interview.
“They are still looking for an opponent, but Manny Pacquiao already called me up to tell me everything is set,” Lopez said yesterday.
Mepranum will be fighting in the 112-lb division.
Mepranum (21-1-1, 3 KO's) made his Las Vegas debut in December last year underneath the Oscar de la Hoya-Manny Pacquiao superfight also at the MGM, decisioning Cesar Lopez of Mexico.
In June last year, Mepranum took the WBO Oriental flyweight title with a decision win over Juma Fundi in Saranggani, only to be stripped of the title for his failure to defend on time.
